On 27 April 2011 an EF4 tornado came through Catoosa County as part of the Super Outbreak, tracking near Highway 151 and just west of downtown Ringgold before crossing Taylor’s Ridge toward Apison. Around 700 homes and businesses in the county were damaged or destroyed.

Which means an unusual number of Ringgold roofs all went on within a year or two of each other. Fifteen years on, that is the back half of a typical architectural shingle roof, and it is why we get called out here for roofs that look fine from the curb.
